Just a reminder that this years show was held on April 28 and we registered 298 cars. Whew. Updated 11-12 -2018 somewhere around 2:00 P.M., Just after my nap! Welcome to the latest installment of “How the car club runs”. Well now for some updates. The club went to the V.A. in Sulphur on Oct 20th. We departed the McDonalds on Hwy 9 about 10:30 A.M. and proceeded to Sulphur on I-35 and Hwy 7. Old new member Jerry Horn put out a call to the non club Corvette Outlaws. About a dozen of them waited in the Riverwind parking lot and followed us to the V.A. (for the most part). We arrived about a quarter of noon, just as the fish fry was ending. A beautiful day it was. Club Vice President Wallace Mellinger presented Steve Rutledge with a plaque declaring him a lifetime Honorary Member of the Tri-City Cruisers, for his dedication to Hot Rodding, Drag Racing and the Smokey Burnouts. A number of Cruiser cars made the trip, greatly appreciated. The vets joined us in the parking lot and seemed to have a great time. Didn’t recognize many from our last trip. Many stories were told about the car used to have or the car I sold, great memories. Mission Accomplished. Thanks to all. This years Christmas Party will be held on Saturday Dec 1st. at 6:00 P.M. at the Newcastle Library. Someone from our lovely staff will contact members about what to bring (pot Luck). James and Michelle are preparing the meat, smoked Ham, Turkey and Ribs I understand. Last year almost 90 people attended. It’s a hoot. Officers will be elected for 2019 at the party. Hard to believe it’s 2019. See you at the Party and in 2019!
